A Book on Alina Szapocznikow Published by IRSA - Have a Look at 'Alina Szapocznikow: Capturing Life'

Alina Szapocznikow is much talked about these days. Almost forty years after her death, the artist is finally getting her due. IRSA is proud to have been one of the first who started to restore the artist's oeuvre to popular consciousness. In 2004 we published a comprehensive volume on the artist, entitled Alina Szapocznikow: Capturing Life – Drawings and Sculptures, to accompany an exhibition held in Warsaw.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome the opening of the exhibition Alina Szapocznikow: Sculpture Undone, 1955–1972 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, curated by Elena Filipovic and Joanna Mytkowska. It is the third major show abroad of the renowned Polish artist Alina Szapocznikow (after the exhibitions held at WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles last year).
